Video - Printmaker Jennifer Worsley - And transferring images on to the woodblock

Here's a great video of Jennifer Worsley (http://jenniferworsley.strikingly.com/) making a woodblock print via Utah's Museum of Fine Arts (UMFA) on YouTube.

It's a super-speedy whizz through of her doing all the cutting out of the block, but what really piqued my interest was the initial few seconds where she appears to be transferring the image via a marker pen. There's no information in the video about exactly how she's doing this, so I've done some research.

Here's a real old forum about image transfer - http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-116735.html

But what I've found pretty useful is this "Instructables" page http://www.instructables.com/id/Solvent-Transfers/ which shows a step-by-step process of how one uses a Chartpak Blender Marker pen to wet the back of the image which then transfers it on to the receiving surface. Kind of like a chemical version of my previous post showing how to do this via an iron. Seems a good tip is to leave the toner on the paper for a day or two first before attempting the transfer.

Looks like you can buy the pens from Amazon or for a more industrial approach, Toolstation sells a 500ml can of it for £7.70. Decant into a glass jar (with a lid), and delicately brush on to your image.

I'm guessing if you want to hold the print in place that Frog Tape would work OK. I'm only saying that cos I've got a roll of it at home and am looking for a use for it.
