Reading material - Allen W. Seaby - Art and Nature & accompanying exhibition at Reading Museum, UK, 2015

I happened to be visiting Reading when this exhibition was showing. Allen W. Seaby was a Reading based artist and printmaker who did a large number of Japanese Woodblock prints, particularly of birds.

Good to see the prints in the flesh, but also good that there was an affordable book the accompanied the exhibition. Here's some details about it from the Reading Museum shop.

I was particularly interested in a couple of pages inside that show firstly the blocks that he used for making a print, then each of the blocks as they were printed in succession.
